Afro Sistahs FINALISTS At Made In the West Film Festival ✨

You read that right!!

As one of the 2018 Finalists, Afro Sistahs will be heading to Made in The West Film Festival this year! 🎉 Alongside some great Western Sydney Creatives, we will be screening our shorts as part of a jam packed night celebrating new and exiting work bringing new stories to our screens. We’re over the moon and so grateful to the incredible team we have had the honour to work with, and the immense amounts of support we’ve received from organisations including Information and Cultural Exchange, our community and most importantly our viewers. We can’t wait to share more of our stories with more of you.

But hang on, there are a couple more laurettes on there…
We found out yesterday evening that we have been nominated for FOUR AWARDS- something we never saw coming and are so very appreciative of. The nominations are for:

Best in the West
Best Screenplay
Best Director
Best Editor
Best Actress

A testament to the skills and expertise we have on our team, it is such a privilege to receive this acknowledgement. Additionally, we are filled with joy to learn that our late Editor, Vanna Seang, has also been celebrated for his dedication to Afro Sistahs.
